The Wolf Among Us 2 Co-Publisher Might Team Up With Telltale For More Projects in the Future

While things have been quiet when it comes to The Wolf Among Us 2, CEO of co-publisher PM Studios, Michael Yum, has said that the team at Telltale has been making good progress on the game. In an interview with PCGamesN, Yum even said that the company has spoken with Telltale about more partnerships in the future as well.

On the subject of The Wolf Among Us 2’s development, Yum told the development team that they should “let me worry about the money, so you don’t have to worry about that anymore.” This has seemingly led to decent progress being made. As for the future of the relationship between PM Studios and Telltale, Yum said that the two companies have enjoyed working alongside each other, and that there might even be “new stuff” to come out of this partnership.

“I think we’ve both enjoyed our experience with them, and they with us, and so we’ve talked about future partnerships. I’m really happy to say that I think there will be more, and I’ve discussed new stuff, and I’ve told them what I would like to see, and we’re kind of all aligned.”

The “new stuff” in question, however, doesn’t necessarily mean that the companies are already thinking about The Wolf Among Us 3. Rather, Yum’s statement was about how happy all the team members have been about working with each other. “I think a few things can happen there, and we just have to wait for everybody else to see. I think everybody will feel really happy with what’s going to come.”

The Wolf Among Us 2 got a re-announcement trailer back in June, giving us our first look at the game after several reports had indicated that its development was quite troubled. The project’s development was reaffirmed alongside Telltale announcing that it is bringing a remaster of the original The Wolf Among Us for modern platforms on October 29th.

Not too many details about The Wolf Among Us 2 have been revealed aside from the fact that players will once more take on the role of Fabletown sheriff Bigby Wolf, with a deadly conspiracy threatening to tear the town’s peace apart. The title is slated to feature a “dark neon-noir narrative thriller” in a similar vein to the original. There will be some gameplay expansions as well, including more in-depth exploration and investigative gameplay and a “ferocious cinematic combat” system.

Fans of the original The Wolf Among Us will be glad to learn that the sequel will hang on to the branching choices with narrative consequences that made the first title compelling. The title is slated for a 2027 release.

As for The Wolf Among Us Remastered, it is being developed for PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2. The release date was announced with a trailer showcasing how the visuals have been enhanced over the 2013 original. The remaster will also forego the episodic release of the original, instead opting to include all five episodes in a single package, giving the entire story better narrative flow that isn’t interrupted by being forced to wait for more.
