From multiple years of delays to one of the most anticipated games of the year, Capcom’s Pragmata has certainly had a journey. With over a month to go until launch, the sci-fi title has reached two million wishlists while its demo has been downloaded two million times.
To put this into perspective: Resident Evil Requiem was reportedly Steam’s third most-wishlisted title in February 2026 (2.5 million). Granted, the number of wishlists for Pragmata likely encompasses other storefronts. Nevertheless, for a new IP, that too with a fairly unorthodox gameplay loop, it’s promising.
That same loop ultimately led to so many delays for the title. Trapped on a Lunar base with AI that’s turned hostile after a mysterious quake, players must face off against hordes of killer robots. The twist is that Hugh, the deuteragonist, can’t directly damage them.
With the help of Diana, a human-like android, and her hacking, he can bypass their defenses. However, both characters are controlled simultaneously, so you’ll need to dodge attacks, hack targets in a puzzle-like fashion, and shoot.
Pragmata launches on April 17th for Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC – a week earlier than the previously announced April 24th. A free demo is currently available.
