Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty Has Sold 15 Million Units

It’s been a good week for CD Projekt RED, especially after the positive reception to the reveal of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Remastered and Songs of the Past. Sales figures for the base game remain steady at 65 million, while Cyberpunk 2077 is still at 40 million copies sold, but the developer announced another sales milestone for the first half of 2026.

In that period, Phantom Liberty sold 15 million units, up from ten million sold as of May 2025. Reaching this milestone in less than three years is equally impressive.

As the only expansion for Cyberpunk 2077, it played a big part in completing the first-person action RPG’s redemption arc, as the new region, storyline, characters, weapons, and more received extensive critical acclaim. Check out our review for more details.

CD Projekt RED has a sequel in the works, Cyberpunk 2, but seeing as it entered pre-production last year, a release may be a long way off. We know that it features a new city that feels like “Chicago gone wrong,” per Mike Pondsmith, but that’s pretty much it.

On the bright side, The Witcher 4 is targeting a 2028 launch. The developer also reaffirmed plans to launch the next two titles within a six-year period, which means the trilogy could wrap by 2034. Assuming everything goes according to plan, of course.
