Split Fiction Sells 2 Million Copies in First Week

Fresh off selling one million copies in its first 48 hours, Hazelight Studios’ Split Fiction has reached two million sales in its launch week. Once again, it’s worth mentioning that It Takes Two, the developer’s previous smash hit, took one month to sell a million copies.

Split Fiction has received extensive critical acclaim since launch, sitting at a 91 Metascore based on 92 reviews (making it Electronic Arts’ first game to receive a 90+ in 13 years). The co-op action-adventure title is also rated “Overwhelmingly Positive” on Steam, with nearly 98 percent of almost 20,000 user reviews giving it a thumbs-up at the time of writing.

If that wasn’t enough, it’s currently Electronic Arts’ second-biggest launch on Steam, with almost 260,000 peak concurrent players. Split Fiction is also available on Xbox Series X/S and PS5. Check out our review – we gave it a seven out of ten, praising the gameplay and presentation while criticizing the dialogue and characterization.

SPLIT FICTION has sold 2 MILLION copies in 1 WEEK!!Holy crap, we’re blown away! Simply amazing…Thank you to all of our new and old fans – we love how excited you are for our game! 😍
